What do we charge for?

Only the things that cost us money. Search is always free - indexing unlocks what you can search.

Search: Free

Runs on your machine, no internet needed. Basic metadata search (resolution, codec, filename) is always available. AI search (objects, transcripts, scenes) unlocks after indexing.

Indexing: Paid

Turning video into searchable data (object detection, transcription, scene descriptions) uses cloud compute. That’s what your plan covers. Most videos finish in 5-10 minutes.

Storage: Local

Your indexes live on your machine with no ongoing storage fees. Back up to a local folder, Google Drive, Dropbox, or NAS. The index is yours to keep even if you cancel.
