drop into your timeline

Find the exact moments you need, then export them as timeline-ready files for Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Resolve, or LosslessCut. Free on every plan.

Formats

Four export formats, every major NLE

Each format is purpose-built for its target editor with correct timecode handling, media references, and clip structure.

FCPXML v1.11

Final Cut Pro. Full timeline structure with clip references, roles, and metadata. Supports sync-clip wrapping when external audio links exist.

Audio link resolution is automatic.

Premiere XML (xmeml v5)

Adobe Premiere Pro and legacy Final Cut Pro 7. Standard XML interchange with sequence and clip elements.

Bulk export supported.

CMX 3600 EDL

DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and broadcast systems. Industry-standard edit decision list with correct drop-frame and non-drop-frame timecode formatting.

LosslessCut CSV & LLC

LosslessCut. Export as CSV segments or native LLC (JSON) project files.

Trim footage without re-encoding.

What You Can Export

Scenes, transcript segments, or entire search results

Scene selections

Select specific scenes from the Scenes tab and export just those segments. Right-click for format options.

Transcript segments

Select transcript lines and export the corresponding timecoded segments. Perfect for pulling selects from interviews.

Bulk export

Export multiple videos in a single file. Combine search results across your library into one timeline-ready export.

Workflow

From search to timeline in seconds

  1. 1

    Search your library

Find the moments you need using transcript, visual, face, or object search.

  2. 2

    Select your clips

Pick individual scenes, transcript segments, or entire videos. Multi-select supported.

  3. 3

    Choose your format

Right-click or use the export menu. Pick FCPXML, Premiere XML, EDL, or LosslessCut.

  4. 4

    Import into your NLE

Open the exported file in your editor. Clips appear on the timeline with correct timecodes and media references.

When external audio files are linked to your video (via the audio sync feature), FCPXML exports automatically resolve those links into sync-clip structures. Your separate audio arrives in the timeline already synced to the video.
